BEHIND THE NUMBERS
How this calculation works
Worked example
Ten members paying PKR 100 create a PKR 1,000 pot. Receiving round four means PKR 400 has been paid and PKR 600 remains due. With no fee, the full-cycle net gain is zero.
Example result: PKR 1,000
An early payout still carries a commitment
The pot moves between members; it is not interest earned on your contributions. The schedule shows the cash available at your turn and every contribution still to be made afterwards.
Choose the date convention carefully
A monthly circle starting on 31 October continues on 30 November and 31 December. Weekly and fortnightly schedules instead add a fixed number of days.
Assumptions and rounding
- All members contribute before the payout in every round, including their own round.
- For monthly schedules, dates use the original day of the month or the last valid day if shorter. No compounding or investment return.
Questions about this calculator
Is the pot a profit?
No. In a fully completed equal-contribution cycle you pay in the same gross amount you receive. A payout fee creates a net cost.
Can I model an auction kameti?
No. Auctions redistribute discounts between members and need a different agreement and payment schedule.
