BEHIND THE NUMBERS

How this calculation works

Cap each reference year separately and divide their sum by 730. Compare with MROT × 24 / 730. Apply the service percentage, then compare each day with MROT / calendar days in that sickness month. Employer covers days 1–3, SFR subsequent days. Average/daily amounts are rounded to kopecks.

Worked example

Eligible earnings total RUB 730,000, producing 1,000 per day. Eight years gives 100%, above October’s MROT floor. Ten days give 10,000: employer 3,000 and SFR 7,000.

Example result: RUB 10,000.00

The reference earnings ceiling is annual

A high 2025 salary cannot use an unused portion of the 2024 ceiling. Each year is limited first, then the two eligible amounts are divided by 730.

February can have a different daily floor

The monthly MROT safeguard is divided by the calendar days in each month of sickness. A period crossing a month boundary is therefore evaluated day by day. The payment table shows which amount applies to each day.
